TheTechyX.Com is an independent tech publication. We cover artificial intelligence, gadgets, software, security and the science shaping tomorrow — across 8 desks, with zero sponsored posts.

Most tech coverage is a press release with a byline on it. We'd rather be late and right. That single preference explains almost everything about how TheTechyX.Com is built.

Three rules TheTechyX.Com never breaks

  1. Hands-on, or silent. We don't review what we haven't held, run, or lived with. If a device hasn't been on the desk, you won't read a verdict on it here.
  2. Show the working. Scores come with a published rubric — build, performance, software, repairability and value, weighted and stated openly. If you disagree with a verdict, you can point at exactly which row we got wrong.
  3. Accountable, not anonymous. Anything we publish is signed — by a named writer or by the desk itself — and someone answers for it. No SEO bait, no posts bought by a vendor.

How a story gets made

Four steps stand between an idea and a published piece on TheTechyX.Com:

  • Pitch — a claim we can actually test, not a headline built to rank.
  • Hands-on — the device is on the desk, the model runs on our hardware, the code is running.
  • The hard question — what would make this wrong? We go looking, and whatever we find goes in the piece, especially when it's inconvenient.
  • Ship & correct — dated, bylined, and amended in public.

Step three is the one that costs us traffic. It's also the reason to read us.

What we cover

8 desks, each with a person behind it:

  • Artificial Intelligence — Models, agents, and the fast-moving frontier of machine intelligence.
  • Reviews — Hands-on, scored verdicts on the gadgets worth your money — and the ones that aren't.
  • Gadgets & Hardware — Phones, laptops, wearables, and the silicon that powers them.
  • Software & Dev — Tools, languages, and workflows for the people who build and ship.
  • Security & Privacy — Breaches, encryption, and staying safe in a connected world.
  • Science & Future — Space, energy, and biotech — the ideas quietly shaping tomorrow.
  • Culture & Business — The people, money, and power moving the technology industry.
  • Deep Dives — Long-form reporting and essays that go beyond the headline.

How we make money

Not from vendors. TheTechyX.Com has never published a sponsored post and has no plans to. Where a link earns us an affiliate commission we disclose it, and it has no bearing on a verdict. We'd rather publish two reviews we stand behind than twenty we don't, which is why you won't find filler here.

Good technology journalism should leave you better informed and less anxious — not the other way around.

Corrections

We get things wrong. When we do, the correction is dated and stays visible on the piece — a correction is a feature of the process, not an embarrassment to bury. Spotted an error? Tell us on the contact page and we'll fix it in public.
